Traveling along the legendary Carretera Austral, you’ll be based in the peaceful village of Puerto Murta, where mountains, lakes, glaciers, and native forests come together to create an unforgettable setting.
Designed for travelers seeking more than just a destination, this 7-day experience offers a deep connection with nature, local culture, and the authentic spirit of Patagonia. From horseback rides in Torres del Avellano with local baqueanos and kayaking on Lake General Carrera to rafting the mighty Baker River and sharing moments with local artisans, every day brings a new way to engage with the landscape and people of the Aysén Region.
The program includes hearty Patagonian meals, guidance from experienced local guides, and a curated selection of meaningful and adventurous activities. A true journey into the soul of the south.

Day 1 – Arrival in Balmaceda, scenic drive along the Carretera Austral, stop at Lago General Carrera, welcome dinner in Puerto Murta.
Day 2 – Horseback ride to a panoramic viewpoint of Lago General Carrera with a local baqueano.
Day 3 – Guided kayak or boat tour to the iconic Marble Chapels.
Day 4 – Full-day rafting on the Baker River, with visits to scenic viewpoints and local lunch.
Day 5 – Return to Murta and cultural workshop with a local artisan.
Day 6 – Interpretive forest hike, kayaking or recreational fishing, and Patagonian farewell dinner.
Day 7 – Return transfer to Balmaceda Airport and departure.
